Villa prices can range from $1m-$3m depending on location and view, while the custom homes are often priced between $4m-$10m

Kolea is a luxury gated community with a relaxed island feel. Relaxation is made even more prevalent by the closeness of amenities. The beach lifestyle is also a prominent way of life in Kolea, as the ocean is a short walk away.
A resort community, many of the residents in Kolea are vacationers. Although most are second homes and family vacation properties, there are also a few permanent residents who love this area for its relaxed atmosphere.

Kolea is near many great dining and shopping ventures in the surrounding areas. The following are just a few of the best when staying in the Kolea community.
When looking for places to shop, make sure to stop by Kings’ Shops. This shopping mall is home to many high-end clothing, jewelry, and gift stores, including Tiffany & Co and Michael Kors. Another great place to shop is Queens’ Marketplace, which has many seaside living brands and classic American mall shops.
There are also many great restaurants in the area, such as Lava Lava Beach Club, located just at the other end of A-Bay Beach. This restaurant serves a variety of Hawaiian and Pacific cuisine dishes oceanside for a relaxing experience and incredible sunset views. Another restaurant to try is Kuleana Rum Shack, which has Hawaiian Island fare alongside signature rum cocktails.

Kolea has access to many great things to do, whether in the community or out on the town. These are just a few of the most popular things to do in the area.
When looking for events and happenings around the community, Kings’ Shops hosts many weekly and special events. These include koi feedings, a farmers’ market, and island music events. The Annual Big Island Ube Festival also has great live music, a cook-off, sari-sari stores from local vendors, and much more.
There are numerous beaches near the resort area for outdoor activity. The closest beach is ʻAnaehoʻomalu Beach, or simply A-Bay, a gorgeous white sand beach with ample opportunities for snorkeling, swimming, kite boarding, paddle boarding, and relaxing. If you time it right, you may even catch the Lava Man Triathalon at A-Bay that is held once a year and starts right from the beach!
